What are they?



We hope to keep the creative sessions flexible so we can respond to your interests and ideas as they emerge, however here is an outline plan to get us started:

| 14 May | Introduction and printmaking | Hands-on printmaking including: Tetra Pak, printing on cotton, cyanotypes. Sharing stories and myths around bird migration. |
| 25 June | Textile art | Needle punching the Sankofa image. Sharing stories around the significance of birds in different cultures, their various meanings and representations. |
| 16 July | Myths and legends | Creating bird images using textiles and needle felting. Sharing stories about the myths and legends of the Night Jar. |
| 27 August | Family day | Mapping the landscape – incorporating textiles from different cultures to create personal interpretations of the hills. Sharing stories about the Quantocks and its significance to each of us. Family friendly activities for all ages. |
| 24 September | Somerset Art Weeks visit and creative workshop | Visit a Somerset Art Weeks venue on the Quantock Hills for inspiration, followed by a creative workshop at Coleridge Cottage to continue building on skills explored in previous sessions and developing your artwork. |
| 15 October | Sharing and celebration | Finishing our creations ready to share with guests, friends and family after lunch. Celebrating the end of the project. |
The workshops will take place indoors at National Trust Coleridge Cottage in Nether Stowey, with additional opportunities to get outside in nature.
